2022 HCNYC Scholarship Recipients

• A one-page essay describing: “What will you do with your major of study to impact the Hmong community and leave a legacy?”
• List or state community/school involvement, affiliations and honors/achievements
• Official High School transcript (must be sealed by the school)
• Two sealed letters of recommendation from non-family faculty or community representative.

Eligibility Criteria:

• Incoming freshman enrolled full-time at an accredited two-year or four-year college or university in 2022-2023
• Minimum GPA: 3.0
• Ethnic Heritage: Must be of Hmong descent
• High School of Residency: Must attend a high school in the four neighboring school districts: Fresno Unified, Clovis Unified, Sanger Unified, or Central Unified
• Preference is given to those with a record of community service or volunteer work.
• Applicants cannot be the child of any HCNYC, Inc. staff members, Department Chairs/Coordinators, Executive Director or Board members, and Benefactors

Note: Applicants must meet the scholarship criteria above to apply. Applications which are incomplete or postmarked after the deadline will not be considered.
